A Skillful Departure: In-Flight Encounters

Oh, the places you will go, and the people you will meet flying at 30,000 feet.  Most of us don’t hop on a long-haul flight with the intention of making lasting friendships with our seat neighbors.  But nowadays there are web-based apps like Planely which works as a social network for the skies, allowing you to connect with other like-minded travelers in-flight or on the ground.  However, if you are like many business travelers, you put your earbuds in or dive into a book with the hope of arriving at your destination completely undisturbed.  We surveyed some friends of MPW on their most memorable flight encounters.
